What to Expect If You Join Me for a Conversation
Thank you for taking the time to read through this and for considering joining me on The YAM Podcast.
It is truly an honour to connect with thoughtful individuals whose ideas, experiences, and wisdom I believe would deeply serve this community.
The intention of this podcast is to create a space for meaningful, authentic, and grounded conversation. My hope is that each episode feels less like an interview and more like a genuine dialogue—one that allows us to thoughtfully explore important ideas in a human and natural way.
As of April 13th, 2026, The YAM Podcast has released 27 episodes and has continued to evolve organically over time. What began originally as a platform focused on conversations surrounding motherhood and early childhood has gradually expanded into wider discussions with guest experts and thought leaders. Today, the podcast has grown into a broader space for exploring meaningful ideas related to personal development, spiritual inquiry, wellness, yoga therapy, and many of the educational themes I teach and study within my own work.
I hope the information below helps give you a clear sense of what to expect and how I typically structure the experience.
Preparing for the Conversation
Typically, I will already have a list of questions or themes in mind that I would be interested in exploring with you, and I will generally send these to you ahead of time so you have a sense of the direction of our conversation.
That said, the podcast is intentionally organic in nature. While I may come in with an outline prepared, our conversation often unfolds naturally and may move in directions beyond the original questions. Some questions may be followed closely, while others may arise spontaneously in the moment.
The intention is not to rigidly follow a script, but rather to create an authentic conversation guided by curiosity, flow, and meaningful dialogue.
Length of Conversation
Most podcast conversations run between 60–90 minutes, though I always allow space for the conversation to unfold naturally.
Please schedule for a two-hour window maximum on your calendar to ensure we have enough space, though most conversations will conclude within approximately one to one-and-a-half hours.
If a conversation becomes especially rich and lengthy, I may divide it into multiple parts.
Scheduling & Booking Process
Once we agree on a date and time for your appearance, I will book you into my scheduling platform so that I can reserve that time appropriately within my calendar.
You will receive:
A booking confirmation
A calendar invitation
A guest agreement/consent form
Any additional preparation details needed before recording
Podcast recordings are typically scheduled on Wednesday mornings, though I am always happy to adjust where possible if another time works better for your schedule or time zone.
Recording Format
Our conversation will be recorded via Zoom in both video and audio format.
This means:
The episode will appear as video on YouTube
The episode will appear as audio on Spotify
The episode will also be hosted on my website and other written/audio platforms
Editing Process
Each conversation is edited thoughtfully depending on its natural flow.
This may include:
Removing pauses
Cutting interruptions/background noise
Improving pacing and clarity
Editing for listener engagement and attention span
Removing portions that may feel repetitive, less relevant, or less impactful within the overall conversation
My intention in editing is always to preserve the integrity of your ideas while presenting the conversation in the strongest, clearest, and most engaging way possible.
Guest Review Window
After recording, if there is anything you feel uncomfortable with or would prefer removed, you are welcome to reach out within 3 days of recording.
I deeply value creating a space where guests feel safe, respected, and accurately represented.
Sharing & Promotion
Once published:
The full episode will live on The YAM Podcast platforms
You are warmly encouraged to share the official podcast link with your audience
Short clips may also be created and shared across social media
Where appropriate, I may invite you as a collaborator on Instagram clips so that the content can also appear directly on your profile feed.
Please note that in order to keep the podcast centralized and cohesive across platforms, the raw or full podcast recording file itself is not distributed separately. Guests are instead invited to share the official published episode link once the episode is live.
Audio Recommendations
To create the highest quality conversation possible, I kindly ask that you prepare the following where possible:
A quiet room with minimal background noise
A headset, earphones, or microphone if available
Microphone positioned roughly a fist-distance from your mouth
Fans/noise-producing devices turned off where possible
Good audio makes a tremendous difference and helps preserve the quality of the conversation.
Final Thoughts
Above all else—please come as yourself.
There is no need to perform, prepare excessively, or present yourself in any way other than naturally.
The audience connects most deeply when guests speak openly, honestly, and from lived experience.
Thank you again for considering this invitation. I truly look forward to the possibility of sharing this conversation with you.
Warmly,
Nahal Haghbin
Host of The YAM Podcast
